The first gin you will be indulging is the “Here’s looking at you kid Wild Rose” gin from Bentleigh!
Here’s looking at you Kid Gin is made by a family-run, small batch distillery based in Bentleigh, Melbourne. They create spirits inspired by the charm and romance of Casablanca. So cool!
This Wild Rose Gin has deep floral and citrus flavours that are a result of the range of botanicals which are used during distillation. The addition of rose petals provides a silky textured finish that is amazing!
This gin is made with Melbourne in mind. The owner (Liz) wanted to recreate the four seasons that Melbourne has in one day, in one mouthful! We think they definitely accomplished that goal!
We have served gin this with a dehydrated orange and matched it with some delicious Victorian charcuterie to finish it off.

The gin is served with the orange as the the soft citrus taste of an orange makes a wonderful companion to a spicy gin. It makes for a great sweet and bitter combination and accentuates the slight earthy flavour of the gin. The fresh charcuterie is a great pairing as it allows for the orange and gin to be the main flavours. Notice how the sweet orange and spices from the Gin interact on your palette!
