Make your way back on to Little Bourke Street and head left.
Make a left on the second laneway on your - Crossley Street.
Fun Fact!
Formerly known as Romeo Lane back in the 1850s, Crossley Street became popular as one of Melbourne’s earliest ‘red light’ districts. Local lore (so we consider it fact) has it that an opium den was one of the street’s ‘attractions’! Even more scandal!
Make your way down to a must-stop photo stop; the heritage listed Pellegrini Neon Sign!
This place is so popular that locals have (unofficially) renamed Crossley street as Pellegrini’s Corner – home of Melbourne coffee institution Pellegrini’s Espresso Bar.
Continue left onto Bourke street and make a right to the home of Melbourne’s FIRST everlane way bar, Meyers Place.
Welcome to one of the oldest laneways in Melbourne!
Originally known as Nicholas Lane, Meyers place has it all! Street art, romantic bars, hidden bars and definitely loads of history.
Fun Fact!
Meyers place was selected as one of the pilots for Melbourne's new “Green Your Laneway” campaign. A way for the city to liven up the gray walls in the laneways with street art! Make sure to take a picture of the giant Mike Makatron Mural “Jungle Funk”.
Continue past Jungle Funk and look for the bar with hanging bicycle on your left hand side. Head on in through the dark doors step into one of Melbourne's most famous hidden bars!
