Mandatory Tasks
Do or Die
In true party spirit, we’ve given each team a balloon to look after for the entire race. If your balloon survives the duration of the race and crosses the finish line intact your team will be awarded a 10 minute time deduction! (note - sabotage is allowed!)
Solve this riddle and seek out your host to get one step closer to your final destination! If you fail to complete this you will be disqualified!
Penalty Tasks
Do or suffer a time penalty
Find this quirky statue and get and get at least two team members to show us their best pose - send us a picture to complete the challenge!
If you fail to complete this you will receive a 15 minute penalty
Treat yourself to a well earned drink at a bar or cafe of your choice and complete the envelope challenge in your Race Kit. At the venue, get a team photo holding your completed pub quiz for a successfully completed challenge.
If you fail to send the team picture with your completed quiz you’ll receive a 20 minute penalty. You will receive a 1 minute penalty per incorrect or unanswered question.
Can you get the following objects all in one photo? Failure to do this will result in a 10 minute penalty.
Who doesn't love a bit of shopping! Find the classiest pair of heels or dress shoes and have one of your team snap a photo with it and send it to your host! Failure to do this will result in a 10 minute penalty.
Ready to experience a blast from the past? Take a photo of a team member holding a tech item from the past eg. flip phone, cassette, CD player, tamagotchi. Failure to do this will result in a 5 minute penalty.
Bonus Tasks!
Do and turn back time - Cher style!
Recreate ONE of these famous movie scenes for a time deduction with a member of the public! We love a good laugh! So BONUS POINTS for creativity!
For a 15 minute time deduction, create a 30 second music video lip syncing to a song that includes either 'ring', 'wedding' or 'bride' in the lyrics.
Pretend to ring a friend in a crowded location and do a drunk “I love you” phone call building up their self esteem. Your script must include things such as “NO, NO NO, LISTEN TO ME, YOU ARE GORGEOUS. G-O-U-R-S! Gorgeous. Anyone who tells you otherwise is WRONG! R-O-N!”. Send a video for a 10 minute time deduction.
To deduct 10 minutes from your total race time, everyone on your team must cross the finish line wearing ONE ITEM that's matching! The most creative gets bonus time deducted!
Now it’s time to find a member of the public to fake a proposal scene! Film it or snap it - to get a 10 minute deduction they best be on one knee!
