In true party spirit, we’ve given each team a balloon to look after for the entire race. If your balloon survives the duration of the race and crosses the finish line intact your team will be awarded a 10 minute time deduction! (note - sabotage is allowed!)
Come find your host by the Rainman to get one step closer to the finish line! If you fail to complete this you will be disqualified!

Penalty Tasks

Do or suffer a time penalty

Acland street is a sweet tooth’s haven! Which two patisseries sell the famous Kooglhoupf and The Acland Special?? Can you snap a picture for proof?  If you fail to complete this you will receive a 10 minute penalty
Believe it or not, little blue penguins live in St Kilda! Snap a pic of your whole team with Little Blue - home of the St Kilda penguins! Failure to do this will result in a 5 minute penalty. If you manage to get a selfie with a real penguin (NO FLASH) we will deduct 20 minutes from your time!
Treat yourself to a well earned drink at a pub or cafe of your choice and complete the envelope challenge in your Race Kit. At the venue, get a team photo holding your completed pub quiz for a successfully completed challenge. If you fail to send the team picture with your completed quiz you’ll receive a 20 minute penalty. You will receive a 1 minute penalty per incorrect or unanswered question.
 

Bonus Tasks!

Do and turn back time - Cher style!

Recreate ONE of these famous movie scenes with a member of the public for a time deduction! We love a good laugh so bonus minutes deducted for the most creative!
 
 
Time to get the public involved! For a 15 minute time deduction, Head to some steps and get at least 4 members of the public - on video - to join your team in a viral Tiktok dance move OR 20-second conga line.  
To deduct 10 minutes from your total race time, everyone on your team must cross the finish line wearing a fake moustache! 
Nominate someone’s knee or elbow! Find a pen and turn that knee or elbow into a famous person! Text it through to your host and if they guess who it is we'll deduct 5 minutes!
