Mandatory Tasks
Do or Die
In true party spirit, we’ve given each team a balloon to look after for the entire race. If your balloon survives the duration of the race and crosses the finish line intact your team will be awarded a 10 minute time deduction! (note - sabotage is allowed!)
Solve this clue and seek out your host! If you fail to complete this you will be disqualified!
Penalty Tasks
Do or suffer a time penalty
Treat yourself to a well earned drink at a pub or cafe of your choice and complete the envelope challenge in your Race Kit. At the venue, get a team photo holding your completed pub quiz for a successfully completed challenge.
If you fail to send the team picture with your completed quiz you’ll receive a 20 minute penalty. You will receive a 1 minute penalty per incorrect or unanswered question.
Stage a flying broom photo — one person must appear to be mid-air on a “broom” (can be a stick, mop, etc.). Failure to do this will result in a 10 minute penalty.
Can you guess the Blockbuster movie?
"A giant ape, a tower tall,
He climbs, he falls, but she’s the call."
Send your guess to your host, failure to do this will result in a 5 minute penalty.
Make one team member look like they’re climbing a building King Kong–style using only camera angles and your surroundings.
Send a photo to your host.
Failure to do this will result in a 15 minute deduction.
Fit all your team members into the smallest space possible and take a picture. Failure do so will result in a 10 minute penalty
Bonus Tasks!
Do and turn back time - Cher style!
Recreate ONE of these famous movie scenes with your team members for a time deduction! We love a good laugh so bonus minutes deducted for the most creative!
For a 15 minute time deduction, Using random items, create a red carpet outfit worthy of a movie premiere. One team member must strut and pose dramatically while others act as paparazzi.
SABOTAGE TIME! If one of your team members manages to get a selfie of themselves with an entire other team in the background then your team will be awarded a 10 minute deduction. (BUT please note - it must be the whole team and they can’t be looking at the camera - otherwise it’s not valid!)
Film a 10-second continuous “one-take” action sequence (no cuts). Must include a fall, a high five, and someone yelling a fake movie line like, “Get the llama!!” Failure to do this will result in a 5 minute deduction.
Spell out the title of a blockbuster movie using only your bodies.
Send a photo to your host and if they can guess the movie we will deduct 10 minutes.
Nominate someone’s knee or elbow! Find a pen and turn that knee or elbow into a famous movie star! Text it through to your host and if they guess who it is we'll deduct 5 minutes!
