About Juliet Melbourne

Juliet Melbourne’s strong female name is a celebration of the amazing women who work in the food and beverage industry. The wine, beer and spirit lists, and some of the food produce, is a nod to Australia’s female producers and artisans.

Juliet Melbourne is all about championing arts and culture. They showcase it by their choice of music, the art work on the walls and even their menu items. They have a huge vinyl selection and you can even bring your own jazz inspired records to play and add to the ambiance!

This dimly lit underground haven was named to remember and cherish a bygone era. The adjoining laneways (Liverpool and Crossley Streets) were once called Juliet Terrace and Romeo Lane! So romantic <3 The names were changed in the late 1800s, in an attempt to gentrify an area frequented in the past by ‘women and men of the night’. Scandal!
