Romantic Stroll 💕
Head towards the Arts Centre and continue STRAIGHT towards Southgate Avenue.
Cross the road and make a left at the lights towards the gardens.
Stay on the St Kilda Road Side and head RIGHT (the road will be on your right hand side and the gardens on your left).
On your left hand side you will pass the Weary Dunlop Memorial statue.
Statue facts!
Sir Edward Dunlop is acknowledged as an Australian hero. A man of deep personal integrity. The Weary Dunlop memorial marks the achievements of this amazing Australian Physician who became one of the most famous Australian World War II veterans remembered for his compassionate medical care and leadership.
Continue down St Kilda Road and take the next LEFT onto Government House Drive.
Head towards the round about and make a RIGHT onto Birdwood Drive.
Keep walking down and make a LEFT at the Royal Botanic Garden Poles towards the Visitor Centre.
Now we're getting into the heart of the Gardens here!
Make a right once you reach the Visitor Centre and on your right hand side you will pass the Ian Potters Children’s Garden.
Cross the small intersection and once you hit a fork in the road make a LEFT.
Head passed the Herbarium and you’ll find yourself at another fork in the road so make a LEFT.
Keep going straight (make sure you don’t go towards that entrance to the garden house).
Make a RIGHT at the red gazebo.
Keep heading straight and stay on the left side of the path towards the water.
Look for the Red Umbrellas and make your way towards Wesley and Ayami from Punting On the Lake! They will take you on a wonderful adventure around the bend perfect to enjoy Melbourne from a different view.
