Bonus Text Challenges

This is a chance for teams to get ahead with a bonus challenge! 

The text below should only be sent to the team leaders who have successfully completed and sent through the foreign currency selfie challenge! 

Text: BONUS CHALLENGE! Go Go Power Rangers! Snap a team picture of your best Power Rangers pose. No two team members can do the same pose.

Road Block Challenges

Our road block challenge is designed to stop the teams in their tracks.

The text below should be sent out to all the team leaders 45 minutes into the race. Only the first two teams to complete the challenge get two bonus points! 

Text: ROAD BLOCK! It’s time to get the public involved. Take a video of your team doing the Mexican Wave including at least 5 members of the public. 

Finally, here is the the challenges for your reference…

Challenge One

• At the start of your race, download the application: Step Tracker - Pedometer Free on one team members phone team. When the race finishes, you must immediately screenshot your total steps to your host. The team with the most steps at the end of the race wins a point. (One point) 

Challenge Two

• Can you try and get the following objects all in one photo? (One point)

* Dog * Hat * Coffee cup * Magnet *

Challenge Three

• Costume swap!! Find a public toilet - it’s time for every team member  to swap over an item of clothing! Now all you have to do is take a hilarious team picture of you all pulling your best model/popband poses! (one point) 

Challenge Four

• Time to bust a move. Recreate and film a Tik Tok Dance! Your dance must be at least 10 seconds long, include at least 3 different moves and involve your whole team. If you’re not very familiar with Tik Tok - try this one! (One point)

Challenge Five

• Time to search your suburb for the ultimate poser! Find a local statue and get a team selfie (One point)

Challenge Six

• Who’s good at handstands in your team? Find a grassy area (safety comes first!) and nominate the best handstander on your team to do their longest handstand. Film it! You’re competing against the other teams so go for gold! (Possible One point)

Challenge Seven

• We’re sure you’re flying through these challenges, so get ready to put that to the test. Make a paper plane, show it off to the camera and film it flying at least 4 metres. (One point)

Challenge Eight

• Time to get a little creative! As a team, make up a song about your FRIDGE - and film it! One at a time, starting with the person with the longest hair and finishing with the shortest, each person must sing one line of the FRIDGE song. A point for completing and a bonus for the song declared the host favourite! (Possible two points)

Challenge Nine

• Yesterday, I’m sure these challenges seemed so far away.. Take a photo at a quiet street crossing of your team members recreating the Beatles’ famous album cover, Abbey Road. (One point)

Challenge Ten

• Take a 20 second video of a team member performing their cheesiest disco moves in a busy public area . A prop or costume item must feature in the video! (one point) 

Challenge Eleven

• Take a selfie with a foreign currency coin or bill. (One point)

BONUS CHALLENGE ALERT: Text this to your host to receive the bonus challenge!

Challenge Twelve

• Ready to experience a blast from the past? Take a photo of a team member holding a tech item from the past eg. flip phone, cassette, CD player, roller mouse. (One point)

Challenge Thirteen

• Let's test your music trivia! Listen to these clips and name the artist singing Happy Birthday! (One point if two or more correct answers) 

Challenge Fourteen

• Nominate someone’s knee! Find a pen and turn that knee into a famous person! Text it through to your host and if they guess who it is you earn a bonus point! (Possible two points)

Challenge Fifteen

• “Who will cross the finish line first and be the ultimate champions?”

Let’s try a number cipher. Referring to the letters in the phrase above, use the numbers below to work out the correct letters that will spell out your next challenge! Hint: Each number is associated with a letter in the alphabet. Points will be awarded after texting through a photo.  (One point)
